Rindu Alam Hotel rooms come in four types: the Standard Room and Superior Room for 2 guests, the Deluxe Room for 3 and the Family Suite for 4. Official rates as of September 2026 run from IDR 500,000 to IDR 1,900,000 per room per night, room only. This page helps you choose using the hotel’s own data.

How do the four room types differ?

The main differences are how many guests fit, the view and the space inside the room. Rates below are the official rates as of September 2026; the figures in brackets show the saving on the regular rate.

  • Standard Room — 27 rooms, up to 2 guests (at most 1 child), garden view. IDR 500,000 a night (IDR 200,000 or about 29% below the regular IDR 700,000). The most plentiful type, so the easiest to get on busy dates.
  • Superior Room — 18 rooms, up to 2 guests (at most 1 child), garden and river view. IDR 600,000 a night (IDR 200,000 or 25% below the regular IDR 800,000). Our photos show a bamboo seating area and a wardrobe in the room.
  • Deluxe Room — 22 rooms, up to 3 guests (at most 2 children), garden and river view. IDR 750,000 a night (IDR 150,000 or about 17% below the regular IDR 900,000). The only type that sleeps three in one room.
  • Family Suite — just 4 suites, up to 4 guests (at most 3 children), garden and river view. IDR 1,900,000 a night (IDR 300,000 or about 14% below the regular IDR 2,200,000). Our photos show a living area with a rattan sofa set and its own dining table.

How many people can stay in each room?

Children count toward capacity (for children sleeping in a room without an adult, ask us on WhatsApp first). Based on the hotel’s capacity data:

  • Standard Room and Superior Room: 1–2 adults, or 1 adult + 1 child.
  • Deluxe Room: up to 3 adults, 2 adults + 1 child, or 1 adult + 2 children.
  • Family Suite: up to 4 adults, 3 adults + 1 child, 2 adults + 2 children, or 1 adult + 3 children.

We have not yet published the age limit for children or whether extra beds are available. Ask on WhatsApp before you book so your party does not exceed a room’s capacity.

What does each room cost per guest?

Rates are per room, not per person, so the cost per guest falls as the room fills up. Worked out from the official September 2026 rates, per night, room only:

  • Standard Room: 1 guest IDR 500,000 · 2 guests IDR 250,000 each.
  • Superior Room: 1 guest IDR 600,000 · 2 guests IDR 300,000 each.
  • Deluxe Room: 2 guests IDR 375,000 each · 3 guests IDR 250,000 each.
  • Family Suite: 2 guests IDR 950,000 each · 3 guests about IDR 633,000 each · 4 guests IDR 475,000 each.

For longer stays, multiply by the number of nights. For example, a Deluxe Room for three over 2 nights = 2 × IDR 750,000 = IDR 1,500,000, or IDR 500,000 per person for the whole stay.

For four to six people: one suite or several rooms?

This is the choice that puzzles people most, because the Family Suite is not the lowest-cost option for four. Per night, at the official rates:

  • Four people: 1 Family Suite IDR 1,900,000 · 2 Standard Rooms IDR 1,000,000 · 2 Superior Rooms IDR 1,200,000.
  • Five people: 1 Deluxe Room + 1 Standard Room IDR 1,250,000 · 1 Family Suite + 1 Standard Room IDR 2,400,000.
  • Six people: 2 Deluxe Rooms IDR 1,500,000 · 3 Standard Rooms IDR 1,500,000 · 1 Family Suite + 1 Standard Room IDR 2,400,000.

Our advice: choose the Family Suite when everyone wants to be in one unit and will use the living area — for example parents with young children who should not be in a separate room. If all you need is a bed after a day outdoors, two separate rooms cost far less. A family of two adults and three children, for example, fits in a Deluxe Room (1 adult + 2 children) plus a Standard Room (1 adult + 1 child). Which room suits you?

  • Solo travellers and backpackers: the Standard Room, IDR 500,000 a night. Plenty if you will be out most of the day, for example on a Bukit Lawang jungle trek.
  • Couples: the Standard Room to save; the Superior Room if an extra IDR 100,000 a night is worth a river view and a seating area in the room.
  • Three friends, or two parents with one child: the Deluxe Room — IDR 250,000 each, less than two rooms.
  • A family of four who want one unit: the Family Suite. Book early, as there are only four.
  • Three generations: a Family Suite for parents and children plus a Standard or Superior Room for the grandparents. Ask for rooms close together (subject to availability).

What are the bed arrangements?

Bed arrangements are not part of the official room data yet, so what follows is based on our photos only. Photos of the Standard and Superior Rooms show two separate beds. Photos of the Deluxe Room show two versions: one large bed, and two beds. For the Family Suite, our photos so far show the living and dining area, not the bedroom.

Because the layout can vary from room to room, tell us what you need when you book — one large bed for a couple, or separate beds for friends — and ask our reservations team to confirm which rooms are free on your dates.

What is not included, and what should you confirm?

  • Breakfast: not included. Every rate on this page is room only. There is a restaurant on site; ask us about the menu and prices.
  • Extra beds, baby equipment and the age limit for children: no written policy yet — confirm on WhatsApp.
  • Payment, date changes and cancellation: ask about the terms before you pay.
  • The rate for your dates: the official rates above apply as of September 2026 and may change. The binding figure is the one shown on our rooms page when you book.
