At the official September 2026 rates (room only), a group of up to 120 people can stay for a room cost of IDR 250,000 per person per night. How many guests can Rindu Alam Hotel host?

Capacity comes from the number of rooms and the guest limit of each type (children included):

• Standard Room: 27 rooms × 2 guests = 54 guests.
• Superior Room: 18 rooms × 2 guests = 36 guests.
• Deluxe Room: 22 rooms × 3 guests = 66 guests.
• Family Suite: 4 suites × 4 guests = 16 guests.

Room plans and costs by group size

The simple rule: put three in each Deluxe Room and two in each Standard Room. Both work out at IDR 250,000 per person per night, and together they can fit any group from 2 to 120 people. Per night, at the official September 2026 rates, room only, assuming all the rooms listed are free:

• 10 people: 2 Deluxe + 2 Standard (4 rooms) = IDR 2,500,000.
• 25 people: 7 Deluxe + 2 Standard (9 rooms) = IDR 6,250,000.
• 30 people: 10 Deluxe (10 rooms) = IDR 7,500,000.
• 50 people: 16 Deluxe + 1 Standard (17 rooms) = IDR 12,500,000.
• 100 people: 22 Deluxe + 17 Standard (39 rooms) = IDR 25,000,000.
• 120 people: 22 Deluxe + 27 Standard (49 rooms) = IDR 30,000,000.
• 150 people: 22 Deluxe + 27 Standard + 15 Superior (64 rooms) = IDR 39,000,000, an average of IDR 260,000 per person.
• 172 people (the whole hotel): 71 rooms = IDR 48,400,000, an average of about IDR 281,000 per person.

For two nights, double it — for example, 30 people in 10 Deluxe Rooms for two nights = IDR 15,000,000. Using more Deluxe Rooms means fewer rooms to manage for the same cost: 40 people fit in 20 Standard Rooms or in 10 Deluxe + 5 Standard (15 rooms), both IDR 10,000,000.

These figures are arithmetic from the official room rates, not a group rate. We have not published group rates or packages; our reservations team sends a final quote based on your dates and needs.

Rooms for organisers, teachers and families

Not every participant needs the same room. The Superior Room (IDR 300,000 each for two, with a river view and a seating area according to our photos) suits speakers or guests of honour. The Family Suite (only 4 of them) works for accompanying families with children, as it has its own living area and dining table. For school trips, put students three to a Deluxe or two to a Standard, and ask for teachers’ rooms to be grouped nearby (subject to availability). Remember that every room needs at least one adult.

What should you confirm before booking?

Several things that matter for groups are not yet in the hotel’s official data. We would rather not promise them before they are confirmed, so ask us directly:

• Group meals. Rates are room only. Our photos show an indoor dining hall with long wooden tables and a buffet area, but seating capacity, menu, times and price per person need confirming — including children’s meals and dietary needs.
• Meeting space. We have no data yet on a meeting room, presentation equipment or a sound system. Describe your event format (a short briefing or a closed session) and our team will tell you what is possible on your dates.
• Vehicle access. Whether a large bus can reach the hotel grounds and how many vehicles the car park holds — tell us the type and number of vehicles.
• Payment and changes. Deposit, final payment deadline, changes to numbers and cancellation.
• Rooms close together and arrival times. Especially if the group arrives before 14:00 or leaves after 12:00.

How do you book for a group?

1. Collect participant details: the number of adults and children, and who shares with whom.
2. Draft a room plan using the figures above as a starting point.
3. Contact us as early as possible, especially for long weekends, school holidays and Lebaran.
4. Ask for a written quote covering the number and type of rooms, the price, what is included and the payment terms.
5. Appoint one coordinator to deal with the hotel so information stays consistent.
6. Send a rooming list a few days before arrival: who is in each room, including children, plus notes on special needs such as allergies or limited mobility.

Group activities in Bukit Lawang

Most groups come to trek or to spend time on the river.
